I did "shin phyu" in Shan style, riding on the shoulder of my uncles and cousins, when I was ten or so. I can't remember exactly. The only thing I remember is lerning " Phayar Sar " in Shan. But I barely speak Shan before that time. Shamefully, I forgot all these " Phayar Sar ". But that was fun riding on someone for three days or so, not like burmese style "Shin Phyu" which takes one day. Thanks for the article and photos. It helps me refresh my memories.
